Chemical Properties |
White powder |
Uses |
Liver Cell Growth Factor |
General Description |
Gly-His-Lys is a tripeptide present at ~200ng/ml in association with α-globulin and albumin, in human blood plasma. |
Biochem/physiol Actions |
Gly-His-Lys (GHK) acetate salt displays affinity towards copper(II) ions. This property enables GHK to modulate the copper intake into cells. GHK is also involved in quenching toxic by-products generated by lipid peroxidation. |

The disulphide corresponding to the above thiol has been synthesised, but all attempts to reduce this substance to the thiol were unsuccessful, although an alternative procedure via a thiomercury intermediate, enabled the thiol to be generated in situ, the properties of this thiol, however, are not in accord with those previously described for a putative free intermediate in penicillin biosynthesis.
The causes of hair loss are multifactorial; therefore, there are multiple potential targets for treatment, and a combination of different active ingredients can be helpful in managing the condition. Androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium comprise two of the main types of hair loss, and differ in their pathophysiology. The objective of the study was to evaluate, in male and female individuals with androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium, the safety and efficacy of a new hair loss lotion containing a combination of cosmetic ingredients: oleanolic acid, apigenin, biotinyl tripeptide-1, 2-4diamino pyrimidine-3-oxide, adenosine, Ginkgo biloba, and biotin.
