Alarelin Acetate is a synthetic peptide agonist of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), consisting of a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain with 9 amino acids. It binds to the GnRH receptor (GnRHR) with a Kd value of 0.2 nM and has been shown to directly inhibit proliferation and DNA synthesis of rat GSMC (gonadal stromal/muscle cells) through GnRH receptors.
